My Guy Is Back

For the past week, I have been "Home Alone".
Since I couldn't get any time off from work, poor DJ was forced (really?) to go on a short "beach" vacation alone, but accompanied by two very close friends. It was the first time that we ever did this. Although at first, the idea of not having my guy around for a week didn't seem like a big problem, I was finding it more and more difficult by day 4. I'm just happy that he got to take a vacation and just go off and totally unwind. He really needed it !

Gay Wedding Anniversary

Recently, we celebrated Bill and Wolfgang's 1-st wedding anniversary. Luckily, the weather was perfect: summery hot and not a cloud in sight. Doug and I prepared a "all homemade from scratch" BBQ dinner served in our tiny back garden. It was a simple menu: gazpacho to start, BBQ ribs with 2 salads for main dish and Doug's lemon meringue pie for dessert. YUMMY!




Wedding highlights: they have been a loving and giving couple for over 35 years! Friends and family from Europe and USA attended the ceremony and partied with the couple till the wee hours of the morning.
