Issey Miyake ( 三宅 一生 ) : Master of Cloth and Design

Issey Miyake is my favorite fashion and textile designer. He is best known for combining Eastern and Western elements in his work and for his technology-driven clothing designs and exhibitions. In my opinion, he is truly an artist, an innovator and a visionary.

Trivia....... did you know that?
* He was mentioned in a song by Pet Shop Boys, Flamboyant.
* In the 2007 film, The Bourne Ultimatum, Matt Damon wears an Issey Miyake sweater throughout the film. However, it was worn inside-out as it was deemed too fashionable for the character.
